b) Following is a sample of his methods and the people he contacted.

2. Method: "Voice."

a) Person / Group:

i) Abraham (Genesis 12:1-4)

ii) Moses (Exodus 7:8-11)

iii) Jesus at his baptism (Matthew 3:13-17)

iv) Paul (Acts 18:9)

b) Text references: Genesis 12:1-4; Exodus 7:8-11; Matthew 3:13-17; Acts 18:9

i) Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, From your family, And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you. 2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you, And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” 4 So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran. (Genesis 12:1-4 NKJV)

ii) 8 Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, 9 “When Pharaoh speaks to you, saying, ‘Show a miracle for yourselves,’ then you shall say to Aaron, ‘Take your rod and cast it before Pharaoh, and let it become a serpent.’” 10 So Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and they did so, just as the Lord commanded. And Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh and before his servants, and it became a serpent. 11 But Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers; so the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments. (Exodus 7:8-11 NKJV)

iii) 13 Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. 14 And John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?” 15 But Jesus answered and said to him, “Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed Him. 16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. 17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” (Matthew 3:13-17 NKJV)

iv) 9 Now the Lord spoke to Paul in the night by a vision, “Do not be afraid, but speak, and do not keep silent. (Acts 18:9 NKJV)
