THINKING GOD'S WAY (7)

(Message by Tanny Keng)

1. Thinking God's Way

a) One of the titles of Jesus is Wonderful Counselor we always have access to listen to the heart of God by His Holy Spirit.

(Proverbs 3:5-8)
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones.

b) Your thoughts and imagination are very important because they direct your heart. Your words and actions will follow the thoughts that you have planted in your heart. The LORD searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

2. Other Scriptures

(Psalms 64:1)
Hear my voice, O God, in my meditation; Preserve my life from fear of the enemy.

(Psalms 64:6-10)
They devise iniquities: “We have perfected a shrewd scheme.” Both the inward thought and the heart of man are deep. {7} But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; Suddenly they shall be wounded. {8} So He will make them stumble over their own tongue; All who see them shall flee away. {9} All men shall fear, And shall declare the work of God; For they shall wisely consider His doing. {10} The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and trust in Him. And all the upright in heart shall glory.

(Psalms 73:12-18)
Behold, these are the ungodly, Who are always at ease; They increase in riches. {13} Surely I have cleansed my heart in vain, And washed my hands in innocence. {14} For all day long I have been plagued, And chastened every morning. {15} If I had said, “I will speak thus,” Behold, I would have been untrue to the generation of Your children. {16} When I thought how to understand this, It was too painful for me; {17} Until I went into the sanctuary of God; Then I understood their end. {18} Surely You set them in slippery places; You cast them down to destruction.

The End ...
