a) We look at the the Israelites' arrival at Mount Sinai, and some of the events there —including God's appearance on the mountain while the people watched below (Exodus 19:1-25; 20:18-22).

2. Early Stages Of The Wilderness Wanderings

a) From Egypt to the arrival at Sinai.

b) Ramases [in Egypt] to Succoth (Exodus 12:37).

@1. End of 430 years bondage.

c) Succoth to Etham (Exodus 13:20).

d) Turn back to camp between Migdol and the Red Sea (Exodus 14:2).

@1. Crossing of Red Sea.

@2. Egyptian army destroyed.

e) Red Sea to Wilderness of Shur (Exodus 15:22-23).

@1. Bitter waters made sweet.

f) On to Elim oasis (Exodus 15:27).

g) Elim to Wilderness of Sin (Exodus 16:1).

@1. Giving of manna and quail for food.

h) On to Rephidim (Exodus 17:1).

@1. Water from the rock and war with Amalek.

i) Rephidim to Sinai (Exodus 19:1-2, Numbers 10:11, Numbers 1).

@1. Arrived 3rd month after leaving Egypt.

@2. Stayed at Sinai 2 years.

@3. The Law given through Moses.

@4. Tabernacle constructed.

@5. First census taken.
