JESUS' RETURN 1: CRUCIFIXION

(Message by Tanny Keng)

1. Jesus' Return

a) Jesus Christ the One and only Son of God lived on earth for one main objective, to willingly sacrifice His own body on the cross to be the life-bridge to our Father.  On that day He became sin for us and fulfilled His ultimate commitment to be our Savior.

b) As believers, we can be rest assured that our faith in Jesus will save us and we can know for certain that Christ will return one day and finish off Satan once and for all.  What does the Bible say about this?  Revelation covers this event along with other scriptures written in the Bible.

2. Jesus’ Crucifixion

a) Jesus’ death at Golgotha was the beginning of His return.  When He was resurrected from the tomb, He made it a point to visit many of His close friends, relatives and disciples. (Matthew 28:8-9, Luke 24:13-53, John 20:24-29)

b) Before departing for good into heaven to await His glorious final return, he gave the “great commission” to the disciples saying, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.  Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.  And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20)

c) At the end of this passage, Christ promises to always be with us, which is a sign that He will be back one day to finish the spiritual warfare that we experience every day and cast the Devil and all his demons and unbelievers into the lake of fire for eternity.

The End ...
