GOD LOVES YOU (3)

1. God loves you
a) Be thankful for the good things that you do like about yourself. Humble yourself before God and He will give you His grace and help you overcome every challenge in your life. God’s strength is made perfect in your weaknesses. What you may see as a weakness is an opportunity for God to help you overcome. If you focus your love on Him He will make everything work together for good. God responds to our love for Him.
And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28 NASB)
b) The more you get to know God the more you will know that He is good and you will learn to trust Him more and more. That will cause you to love Him more and more. God wants us to love Him by our own choice so He gives us freedom to choose.
“Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.” (Psalms 91:14-16 NKJV)
c) One of the most important ways you can know God’s love for you is to remember the price Jesus paid for you on the cross.
Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NKJV)
d) Jesus carried your sins and suffered your penalty for sin so that you could be holy and righteous in Him.
He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. (2 Corinthians 5:21 NASB)
