THE JOY OF SALVATION (3)

(Message by Tanny Keng)

1. The Joy of Salvation

a) Our faith in God’s salvation is a constant reason for joy and thanksgiving, no matter what temporary situation we are in. The knowledge of our salvation sets us free from the past, gives us faith for the present, and a glorious hope for the future. Hope for the future gives joy, and faith for the present gives peace.

(Isaiah 61:10 NKJV)
I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, My soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

(Zephaniah 3:17 NKJV)
The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.”

(Luke 2:10-11 NKJV)
Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. {11} “For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

(Luke 10:19-20 NKJV)
“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. {20} “Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”
