WHAT DELIGHTS GOD? (11)

(Message by Tanny Keng)

1. What delights God?

a) Clearly, the God of the Holy Bible is the God of love and His greatest pleasure is love. His desire for us is to love Him and love each other and that we become vessels of His love. God wants us to allow His love to flow through us and touch the people around us. Truly there is no greater pleasure for God or man than the experience of true love, which always comes from God.

(Matthew 22:37-40 NKJV)
Jesus said to him, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’  On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

2. Other Scriptures

(Hebrews 10:38-39 NKJV)
Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.” {39} But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.

(Hebrews 11:5-6 NKJV)
By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. {6} But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

(Hebrews 13:15-16 NKJV)
Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. {16} But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
