2. Abdon

a) Abdon was the twelfth Judge of Israel. "After him (Elon) theb Pirathonite Abdon, son of Hillel, judged Israel. He had forty sons and thirty grandsons who rode on seventy saddle-asses. After having judged Israel for eight years, the Pirathonite Abdon, son of Hillel, died and was buried in Pirathon in the land of Ephraim on the mountain of the Amalekites." (Judges 12:13-15).

¹³ After him, Abdon the son of Hillel the Pirathonite judged Israel. ¹⁴ He had forty sons and thirty grandsons, who rode on seventy young donkeys. He judged Israel eight years. ¹⁵ Then Abdon the son of Hillel the Pirathonite died and was buried in Pirathon in the land of Ephraim, in the mountains of the Amalekites.
